Description

Own the end-to-end experience for an AI-powered healthcare platform currently used by clinicians and, further along, by administrators and patients. You’ll turn complex clinical workflows and sensitive data into simple, safe, and delightful experiences, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and clinical experts to ship measurable outcomes fast.

What you’ll do:

Drive product discovery: Plan and run interviews, workflow mapping, and usability tests with clinicians, care teams, and ops; translate insights into clear problem statements, jobs-to-be-done, and opportunities;
Ship high-quality UX/UI: Create flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and interactive prototypes; specify states (empty, error, loading), edge cases, and accessibility;
Design for healthcare realities: Simplify multi-step clinical workflows, orders/referrals, task routing, and handoffs;
AI explainability for clinicians and patients: Craft readable rationales, confidence indicators, and “why this suggestion?” that surface inputs and limitations without cognitive overload;
Build and evolve the design system: Establish tokens, components, patterns, and usage guidance; partner with Frontend on a coded library to ensure speed and consistency;
Collaborate to deliver: Work in agile squads, contribute to roadmaps, write tickets/specs, and partner with Engineering during implementation and QA;
Measure impact: Define success metrics, run tests where useful, and iterate based on product analytics and qualitative feedback.

Experience we value:

Portfolio showing problem framing → exploration → shipped outcomes, not just visuals;
Strong interaction design, information architecture, and systems thinking;
Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools; experience partnering on a coded design system;
Fluency with product analytics, experimentation basics, and user research methods;
Nice to have: Familiarity with LLM-powered UX (prompt/response patterns, RAG, summarization, drafting, structured extraction) and designing for human-in-the-loop review.

How you’ll work:

Partnering: PM for strategy and prioritization; Engineering for feasibility and delivery; Clinical/Compliance for safety and correctness; Ops/Support for feedback loops;
Cadence: Dual-track discovery & delivery; tight iteration cycles with weekly research touchpoints where feasible;
Documentation: Clear specs, component guidance, and decision logs; contribute to a living pattern library.
